About Echelon Heritage Group

Echelon Heritage Group is a modern, virtual multi\-family office for families and founders who expect more than a single advisor or a fragmented stack of professionals. We coordinate tax, retirement, investment, and estate strategy as one integrated practice — anchored to what matters most across generations.

Where most affluent families work with a CPA, an attorney, an investment advisor, and an insurance professional — each excellent in isolation, nonaccountable for the whole — Echelon replaces that fragmentation with a single, coordinated practice that designs and stewards the family’s strategy as one architecture. Our work spans four coordinated divisions: Tax Optimization, Advanced Retirement Services, Investment Advisory, and Estate \& Trust Development and Management.

Position Summary \- Consistent Daily Outreach

The Wealth Preservation Consultant is the firm’s relationship and growth engine — responsible for securing referral partners and clients and expanding Echelon’s presence among UHNW families, founders, and the professional advisors who serve them. This is a consultative business development role: success comes from articulating Echelon’s integrated, fiduciary\-minded operating model and converting that differentiation into durable partner relationships and signed family engagements.

The Consultant operates at the intersection of relationship building and advanced planning fluency. They must speak credibly about tax architecture, retirement design, investment oversight, and estate \& trust strategy — enough to earn trust with sophisticated prospects and centers of influence — while embodying the firm’s ethos: “Relationship\-first. Compliance\-aware.” This role does not replace the advisors a client already trusts; it positions Echelon as the specialist coordination layer that helps them preserve more, coordinate better, and act sooner.

Key ResponsibilitiesReferral Partner Development

* Identify, approach, and cultivate strategic referral relationships with CPAs, investment adviser representatives, estate attorneys, insurance professionals, and other trusted advisors whose clients need more than a referral.
* Articulate Echelon’s advisor\-friendly premise — bringing advanced planning architecture to clients without the partner losing the relationship they have earned.
* Build and maintain a structured pipeline of strategic partners and centers of influence; nurture relationships through education, co\-branded value, and consistent follow\-through.
* Coordinate with Compliance to ensure every referral, solicitor, promoter, and compensation arrangement is properly documented and disclosed as required by applicable law, professional rules, and firm policy.

Client Acquisition \& Pipeline Management

* Source, qualify, and convert prospective UHNW clients — entrepreneurs and founders, pre\-liquidity owners, multi\-generational families, and equity\-rich executives.
* Conduct discovery conversations that surface the consequential decisions a prospect faces and frame how Echelon’s integrated model addresses them.
* Guide qualified prospects through the firm’s engagement process — Discover, Architect, Coordinate, Implement, Monitor — partnering with division leaders at the appropriate stage.
* Own the front of the pipeline: maintain accurate CRM records, manage follow\-up cadence, and report on pipeline health, conversion, and revenue forecasts.

Consultative Positioning \& Education

* Translate Echelon’s four divisions and virtual family\-office operating system into clear, compelling value for non\-specialist audiences.
* Deploy the firm’s self\-assessment and discovery tools to open conversations and demonstrate where a family’s coordination may be missing.
* Represent Echelon at networking events, professional associations, and partner gatherings; cultivate the firm’s reputation as the integrating point of accountability for serious wealth.

Collaboration \& Handoff

* Work seamlessly with the Tax, Retirement, Investment Advisory, and Estate \& Trust divisions to scope engagements and ensure a smooth transition from prospect to onboarded client.
* Provide market and prospect feedback to leadership to sharpen messaging, service design, and partner programs.
* Uphold the firm’s discreet, collaborative, advisor\-friendly posture in every interaction.

Target Channels \& Audiences

The Consultant develops both referral partners and direct clients across the following channels:

**CPAs \& Tax Professionals**

Position Echelon as the proactive, multi\-year planning layer that helps their clients act before filing season exposes missed opportunities.

**IARs \& Wealth Advisors**

Offer a planning bench that extends their value beyond portfolio oversight while preserving their advisory relationship.

**Estate \& Trust Attorneys**

Help move signed documents into operation — funding, titling, beneficiary alignment, and annual maintenance.

**Insurance \& Specialist Pros**

Provide a compliant coordination framework so sophisticated strategies fit the client’s broader architecture.

**Direct UHNW Prospects**

Engage entrepreneurs, founders, pre\-liquidity owners, executives, and multi\-generational families facing consequential decisions.

**Centers of Influence**

Build durable relationships with private bankers, M\&A advisors, family\-business consultants, and other trusted referral sources.

Qualifications \& Experience Required

* **Minimum 5–25\+ years of** business development, sales, or relationship management experience in wealth management, financial planning, insurance, private banking, or professional services serving affluent clients.
* Demonstrated success building referral networks and/or acquiring high\-net\-worth clients with a documented track record of meeting growth targets.
* Working fluency in wealth\-preservation concepts — tax mitigation, retirement and distribution planning, investment oversight, and estate \& trust strategy — sufficient to earn the trust of sophisticated advisors and prospects.
* Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and consultative selling skills, with the discretion required for confidential UHNW relationships.
* Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.

Strongly Preferred or a Natural Ability to Pursue Results

* Active FINRA Series 65 (Investment Adviser Representative) and/or relevant insurance licensing; CFP, CPWA, or similar designation a plus.
* An existing network of CPAs, attorneys, advisors, and centers of influence in \[target markets].
* Familiarity with multi\-family office or integrated advisory models and the compliance considerations of referral and solicitor arrangements.
* Experience using CRM and sales\-enablement tools to manage a structured pipeline.
